Move Your Body Challenge

DAY 1 OF 25

Arm circles

Welcome to Healthline's Move Your Body Challenge. We're so glad you're here!

We've mapped out 25 days' worth of moves, each chosen to work different muscles and get your body strengthened, lengthened, and feeling better over time.

A bonus: All 25 of them tie together so you can combine your favorites into a flexible, full-body routine you can do anytime, anywhere. The moves are safe for all levels of exercisers, and we offer modifications — as well as extra-credit exercises — so you can customize them to your abilities.

Your first challenge (instructions below) is arm circles. They'll get your blood moving and can help build muscle tone in your shoulders, triceps, and biceps. What's more, you can do them pretty much anywhere — even in your living room while you're binge-watching your fave Netflix series.

Let's get started! Before you know it, you'll have built a workout that makes you feel your best.

Arm Circles

Duration: 5-7 minutes per day.

Instructions:

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and extend your arms parallel to the floor.
  2. Circle your arms forward using small controlled motions, gradually making the circles bigger until you feel a stretch in your triceps.
  3. Reverse the direction of the circles after about 10 seconds.

Tomorrow: Condition your arms with shadow boxing.

Yours in wellness,
The Healthline Team
