Health authorities in the U.K. now advise that anyone with a "significant history of allergic reactions" shouldn't receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Two healthcare workers who received the vaccine developed symptoms but have since been treated.
The federal government released new detailed data showing the toll COVID-19 has taken on U.S.-based medical facilities nationwide. This includes information about inpatient and intensive care unit (ICU) capacity. The information will be updated weekly.
The death toll from COVID-19 may top 340,000 by the end of the year, according to a COVID-19 case model from the University of Washington. Daily fatality rates have been rising in the U.S. as COVID-19 cases have surged.
